QUESTIONS
How do we know that some of the false teaching in Crete had to do with the family, the roles of men and women, and the authority structures in the home and in the church?
Name the five different groups of Christians addressed in Titus 2:1-10. What was the teaching common to all?

ANSWERS
Because of the teaching of Titus in Chapter 2, which is aimed at these roles and authority structures.
Older men, older women, younger women, younger men and Christian slaves. They were all told to live lives in line with sound doctrine (Titus 2:1).
It leads to the spiritual health of Christians.
Titus as young (probably single) Christian man. It is better to avoid temptation and the appearance of evil. If the church would follow this biblical guideline today, there would be fewer cases of sexual sin within the church.
It should be channeled into good works, and Christian service, for the glory of God.
